Blood Test Results

Results of blood tests taken in the surgery will generally take 3/4 days to return. However certain tests will take longer. Your practice nurse or doctor will inform you if this is the case. Please contact the practice after 11am or between 11.00 am and 12.30 pm 4/5 days after the tests are taken.

Test results will usually only be given to the patient themselves (or a parent in the case of children). If you wish anyone else to receive your results, you will need to discuss this with us first and provide written consent before we will do this. This is to protect patient confidentiality. If you are enquiring about information contained in a letter rather than a result per se then we ask you to make an appointment instead.

Please note that due to the large number of tests taken daily, the practice cannot contact patients individually with results. Patients must contact the practice for results.
