The Windmill Medical Centre Team got together and established the Practice in January 2006, having already worked for many years in General Practice both at home, the UK and in Skerries itself. We started off Small in a very quaint cottage and gradually expanded to this purpose built modern and spacious surgery in February 2008. This premises provides easy access for all patients which was very important to us, whilst still remaining central. We are situated in the heart of Skerries, and now have grown to 4 full time and 1 part time GP and 2 Practice Nurses offering GP Care Monday to Friday.

With the move came the opportunity to really develop specialist services, such as those for asthma, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and chronic respiratory disease. In addition to general medical services, the practice includes Women's Health, smoking cessation, childhood immunisation, new patient checks, general health checks and travel advice and injections.

We feel that in the many years we are together our practice has enabled primary health care in Skerries to improve even further, allowing us to continue our focus on health improvement and concentrating on encouraging health rather than reacting to illness.
