We operate a "zero tolerance policy" with respect to the protection of all staff. This means that no abuse of doctors or staff is acceptable whether verbal or physical and any patient that behaves in this manner will be removed from the patient register with immediate effect. Such behaviour is disruptive to our patients many of which are young children and our Staff who deserve to be treated with dignity and courtesy at all times. They should be able to do their jobs without being PHYSICALLY or VERBALLY ABUSED. Anyone found abusing the staff in person or on the telephone will be asked to leave the practice. This practice considers abusive behaviour to be any; • disparaging, personal, aggressive, abusive or threatening comments bad language • physical contact This behaviour will NOT be tolerated and physical abuse will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
